Q Gardens's preserves

UniQue.

qgardens Q Gardens make an entire range of gluten free preserves, spanning chutneys, relishes, sauces, jams, marmalades and vinegars. The company was started by Frances Rogers over 30 years ago, as a way to grow less common varieties of vegetables, and the theme is continued in the preserves.

The Purple Basil Vinegar is brightly coloured and zesty, brilliant as a salad dressing component, but also great with beans or artichokes. The Jalapeno Jelly isn’t too hot, and is versatile, suiting both sweet and sour dishes. The Grapefruit Chilli Marmalade is a really interesting way to start the day, sweet with a sharp bite, and the Peach & Garlic Chutney is incredible, especially with a hard cheese. The Jeijoa Kassoundi is specifically for meats and cheeses, and is a blend of feijoa with savoury spices.

Q Gardens is now based in Whangamata, where ingredients are locally grown, and they’ll also modify or create from scratch new products for clients needing something a little different.
