Okere Falls Store

Eclectic and surprisingly good

Okere Falls Store The surprise is certainly not felt by people living or staying at Lake Rotoiti, or approaching Rotorua from Tauranga. For Rotoitians the Okere Falls Store is a must for a range of goods from the daily paper to exquisite preserves, breads and a range of foods we talk about at The List. With an emphasis on organic and artisan products, people even arrive by boat and tie up at the jetty across the road for a ritual coffee and catch up friends. It’s difficult not to pick something up while you’re there or at least browse and be delighted at the choice of foods Okere Falls Store sells.

It’s like browsing a favourite boutique book store where the owner stocks a quirky but quality range of titles and you can be assured of a good read from almost any shelf in the shop.

You won’t want to read at Okere Falls Store, but if you’re in Rotorua, it’s worth a trip past the airport towards Tauranga. Shop for gifts, shop for treats, you’re unlikely to go wrong here. It’s a little gem.
